Sarah Jones was born July 17, 1983, in Winter Springs, Florida. Her acting career began in 2004, with a small part in the television show, Medical Investigation. She followed that performance with small roles in other shows such as Cold Case, Judging Amy, and Ugly Betty. She received bigger, recurring parts in shows like The Wedding Bells, Big Love, Sons of Anarchy and Huff; her movie resume includes Cain and Abel, Still Green, and Storage. She has most recently been awarded the role of the main character in Alcatraz, J.J. Abrams’s newest project, which will debut on FOX in Sarah’s role in Alcatraz is as San Francisco police homicide detective Rebecca Madsen. Her character is described as being “smart, thoughtful, and slightly obsessive.” Madsen’s grandfather and “uncle” were guards at the legendary high-security prison years before. This leads to her initial interest in the mysterious reappearance of 302 Alcatraz prisoners, who had just as mysteriously disappeared a century before. She teams up with Jorge Garcia, who plays Alcatraz expert Diego Soto, to delve into that mystery, ultimately uncovering a bigger and more enigmatic mystery about the prison and its leaders in the past–and present.
She was great for the part.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pity that this show only has one season. I was really looking forward to another season.
